This week, instead of a song, we will explore a short and powerful French poem: “Le désespoir est assis sur un banc” by Jacques Prévert 🌧️
Prévert is one of the most beloved French poets, known for his simple, direct, and deeply human language.
This poem is both gentle and striking, full of everyday images and emotional nuance. It is a wonderful text to read aloud, feel the rhythm of French, and let the language resonate naturally in your voice.

Build confidence in spoken French and develop a clear, expressive voice in the language.
We will practice pronunciation, rhythm, intonation, and the musical flow of spoken French through a poem — in a joyful, relaxed, and attentive atmosphere, in one of Dalat’s most creative places.
